WorkScout is the WordPress theme that is unique and allows the incorporation of elements of traditional job boards and freelance marketplaces. This means that with the help of this WordPress job board theme you will be able to set up your own Fiverr-like, Freelancer-like, Upwork- and Airtasker-like websites.
Listings
The theme offers several listing layouts such as a classic listing or a grid with sidebar, a full-page listing with a map, and fast-loading jobs via AJAX. Users can apply directly using a job application form and an online resume created via WorkScout.
Jobs Bidding
You can also post jobs/tasks/micro-jobs similar to those available on freelancer.org or fiverr.com. The freelancer will define the time frame needed and the price for completing the job. After the job is completed, both the employer and the freelancer are able to give each other ratings, which will build trust.
Freelance Profiles – Online Resumes
In order to make it easy to build up an online CV, WorkScout has included all necessary elements. Here the users will be able to post their portfolio showcase, add attachments, job reviews, work experience, education and more while being engaged in private messaging. This is crucial when it comes to making a bid for a certain task or applying for a position.
Resume Manager
This plugin supports Resume Manager functionality in the WorkScout WordPress theme. Users can register and upload their resumes or fill out predefined submission forms. All these elements are seamlessly integrated into a WordPress Admin Control Panel.
Application Deadline
From the Job Dashboard, users can apply for a job, review job applications, and manage job applications. The job applications management system features the Application Deadline, where subscribers who have signed up to receive alerts will be able to submit their job applications right from the dashboard.
Job Alerts
The job alerts extension enables registered users to receive listing alerts in addition to saving searches in their accounts. Users get to choose how frequently they receive the alerts – either daily, weekly or fortnightly.
Bookmarks
The Bookmarks extension serves both recruiters and job seekers. Recruiters can organize the list of bookmarks and make comments, while candidates can bookmark certain jobs and employers can bookmark resumes of candidates.
WooCommerce Paid Listings

My rating was based on my own mistake. I gave a poor rating a while ago because I thought the support was failing me. However, the response time for support was lightning-fast. Due to my email settings, the response got lost in spam. When I figured out my mistake and got back to the team, they were nothing but nice and super quick to fix all my problems. I was initially frustrated and disappointed because the theme is not easy to customize for each special wish of my customer, so I had to change a lot within .php files. Theme and support are on a high level BUT this theme doesn’t come with 2-step email verification which is necessary since data protection is a big thing. Please work on that guys, otherwise it won’t be commercially useful to use in Europe or US.
Workscout is not only a WordPress theme, but a whole recruitment system, allowing dialogue between candidates and employers. The layout of the site is one of the cleanest we found, that works perfectly on mobile. The main Workscout advantage, in addition to the design, is a “back-end” type interface for employers and candidates, via a dashboard and tabs system, which does not allow them to access the Admin part of the site. The code is optimized and allows fast browsing, even though the functionalities are numerous. Workscout won’t be easily tweaked via just a few CSS codes, and a wider knowledge (PHP at least) is necessary, but the developers are constantly answering questions and giving directions and hints to make the adjustments you may need. So far Workscout has met our expectations and represents a real value for money when we compare the price of the theme with its content, as well as the service offered by the developers.

I have not been able to install the theme after purchase almost 3 months later. Attempt to reach support has received no replies. The theme doesn’t seem to work fully on my site and requires several paid plugins to be operational. Not a good deal in my opinion.

This is a great theme but has two issues: – Taxonomy pages don’t have an H1 that includes the taxonomy name. This is awful for SEO – It’s not possible to directly link to a page with only remote jobs. Both issues have been mentioned to the developer but there seems to be no effort to make these changes.

This one ticked all the boxes for the key features I needed, but what has blown me away is the level of customer support provided by the team. Top notch responses on realistic timescales. If you want customisation, it’s worth investing in the Smyl.es Plugins alongside this theme, other than that it has a lot of great customisations already available. Google Maps API is a little tricky to install if you’re not familiar with it. Also, as someone with minimal HTML and CSS experience, I found it tricky to install a custom font (that wasn’t a Google font) with this theme alongside Elementor, BUT the Purethemes team helped me with this, and their service is phenomenal. Really good job board theme. Lots of options – it may take you a while to get your head around it all. If you add a couple of plugins from Smyl.es, the theme is fully flexible, being able to alter job posting fields and further customise emails. Customer support is first rate. They help very quickly if you are having problems. Most often, it is not a problem with the theme but difficulty in finding where the setting is.
We have been using the theme for a long time for a successful job board website. Very satisfied, the use of the external plugins is an added value to the good of the theme. Very important: The helpdesk is really super, always friendly, fast, and accurate response. Keep up the good work!

The theme is very well developed. Everything on the theme is grade 10, but the support is grade 10 ++. A great team is in the back.
Absolutely the best for the back and frontend to work with. You can really customize all kinds of features. When jobs show up on your website they will look professional and colorful. I have used others before but none as good as this. If you ever need support which we all do, you won’t find any better than this I promise you that. I have asked for help many times and they help guide me until the problem was solved and quickly. Can’t imagine anything but 5-star ratings for this theme.
