Setting up a directory-based website on Listify is too easy. This is because it can instantly merge with the leading booking services like OpenTable, Resurva and WooCommerce Bookings. Once you enter your account details, everything else related to the theme will be done automatically.

SEO friendly

The most eminent feature in Listify is its SEO optimization. The designers of this theme have ensured that your site’s listings show well on Google search engine complete with ratings and other revealing details which attract client-customers.

Revenue streams

Listify opens many doors for revenue conversion within your website. You can charge users to join, claim or view listings, book reservations, request appointments and even access your site. With several WooCommerce payment gateways as well as extensions supported by this theme, it can fit different business needs such as: gift certificate sites, restaurant guides and membership sites.

Integration of plugins

Listify has been coded to work in harmony with some powerful plugins that add functionality while maintaining an elegant appearance. Gravity Forms, NinjaForms, Contact Form 7, FacetWP are some examples of such plugins that are supported by this theme. In addition there are several WooCommerce extensions like Product Vendors and Subscriptions that also go well together with it. Although these plugins need to be downloaded separately from the internet onto local machines they have been coded such that their use is properly integrated into the User Interface (UI) while ensuring they maintain a common style as the rest of other features available in it.

Making Money

Additionally to those chief revenue streams Listify also supports ad spaces so you may earn ad income even if you don’t charge anything for listings or reservations. The idea behind this template was functional yet visually attractive one which would make any user feel like at home when visiting a website.

User-friendly functionalities

Listify contains lots of things that improve customer experience through engaging them effectively into interaction process with site’s content. With the Bookmarks support, visitors are able to save listings. You can also search for local listings via zip code or location using the maps of the area that you’re interested in. Through social media integration, users can easily share or visit listings’ social media pages.

Thoughts on “Listify: The Ultimate WordPress Directory Theme”

  1. Wow! I have to be honest, I’m usually against using ThemeForest themes as I find them bloated and generally a pain to work with. But Listify is different. This is a theme that has been developed for a single purpose: to build an awesome listings website. It is so simple to set up – you can literally have a listing site up inside an hour. It’s pretty customizable, too. I found it really easy to work with and I’m really impressed with the finished product. One of the main reasons for the five-star rating is the support. I’ve contacted the team on a number of occasions and they have always replied promptly and with helpful answers. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this theme again. I already have two licenses. Great theme. Restored my faith in ThemeForest a little!

We’ve been working with Listify for months as the basis to launch a new business. It provides a very modern and intuitive user experience, which ultimately makes it easy to use by our customers. Its ability to integrate with a lot of other plugins also enables you to build a complete business around it. Its customization capabilities further enhance its usefulness to meet the requirements of a business. The support has also been extremely helpful. They get back to you in a timely fashion with the necessary help. If we were to provide areas for improvement, it might be with the documentation. It’s OK, but with some additional research and trial and error, you can get through it. In general, there’s enough there though to make you successful. I hope the Listify team will keep coming out with more enhancements to make it an even more powerful theme. Good job folks!

I’ve used Listify across several sites of varying sizes for years now, and always found that it’s a very good theme to work with. The code quality is great and the support team is always useful.

  2. This theme is no longer updated, required and recommended plugins not updated in years, demo content not uploading, obviously not a theme to rely on.

I love your theme, customizability, flexibility, full performance, dynamic, stability, working process, and features. Thank you so much, will work with you in the future. Great!

To monetize your site, you still have to purchase their plugin for an additional $29 and woo-commerce for $199/year.

This theme is outstanding as is the support. I’ve been using the theme for a few years now and it works fantastically well. The support is the best I have received on any theme. 10/10 I highly recommend, great job guys, your team is the best!

  3. Less than one month in, the Listify theme has been easy to install, customise, and modify for a new directory I have launched. Theme documentation is readily accessible, and only twice have I had to contact support for minor bugs. Response has been prompt and on point. Highly recommend this theme.

Excellent theme with excellent support! One of the best themes for a business directory.

Unless you want to create the demo, this theme is very limited in flexibility of design. It requires a lot of additional pro plugins which are no longer supporting each other. Avoid!

Be wary before buying Listify. WP Job Manager is not really being developed. Recently, the authors of this theme have changed or the company has been sold. The WP Reviews plugin is not compatible with Google Search anymore. This all needs a lot of work but I don’t think there is much energy any more behind this theme, sadly.

  4. Customer Support, John Gahari supports perfectly and patiently. Thank you John!! Regards, Leen, Belgium

Support was decent at first but now I am receiving replies weeks later, their support portal always kicks me out & I can rarely login! They told me they were going to update the outdated icon pack in the update & they did not!

The theme is good and works well, but you need to pay tons more to get the extra plugins to make a return on this theme. It works out cheaper to get the other directory themes that doesn’t require paid plugin.

Great theme. Simple to set up and easy to work with. Lot’s of great functionality and features. I dig it. Thank you!

ONLY BACKGROUND IMAGES (CSS)! – there are NO images on the theme pages at all! How to have normal image tags on theme pages? Output HTML code doesn’t have images, but logo – that’s very bad for SEO! All the images are like that:
    background-image: url(https://listify-demos.astoundify.com/classic/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2016/05/Stocksy_txp14e9c583tyy000_Small_614033-1024×684.jpg);
This is a very serious problem! Please, sort it ASAP!

  5. I bought this theme years ago and they still reply to my email/support needs with actionable advice on how to customize Listify. This company stands behind their products and I am glad I selected it over a directory plugin. Good theme but harder to customize to the level I want it to. The support is good though. I love this theme, it’s exactly what I needed to build my listings website. The support from Astoundify has been excellent. They really helped me to get to grips with the theme, with emails back and forth. Definitely recommend this theme!

  6. Migrating from AIT DirectoryPRO – Tired of “Claim a Listing” and other features NOT working. This comes Highly recommended and does NOT disappoint!! A+++

Along with a great design and functionality, they also provide helpful support when it is needed. We encountered an issue recently, which was remedied within a reasonable timeframe.

I have every confidence that any further issues that may arise will be dealt with promptly and professionally. This was not the case with the last directory software solution we spent over six months deploying and then abandoning due to the ineptitude of the developers.

The customer support is simply top shelf.
I do wish one could customize the social networking sites to make them more current.

I have been using Listify as a Theme for approx. a year now and have a pretty good view of what it delivers. In line with what most say, the code is good and clean, documentation is weak, and you will need a lot of other plugins to build a useful platform. Support is typically quite helpful (thanks to John!).

However, with the recent version, there are some problems that don’t seem to get fixed and I had already flagged to support, who passed it on to their developers. This relates to the map on a listing shown on the sidebar and to the fact that it seems that user avatars have been removed and there is only a consolidated option for company logos. This isn’t shown on their demo version, as it still uses their old version.

I find it quite troublesome that there are invasive changes to the Theme and you are not notified in advance and neither is this covered in the changelog. You find your page suddenly not working properly anymore, which is frustrating.

I also found an issue that when you make a selection on the start page and search, amend the service in the drop down service on the search result page and go back in the browser, search again, then the 2 dropdowns start conflicting with each other, showing different values – I had to hire a developer to fix this.

In the end, I would have rather paid twice the price and have a more professional theme that you can trust and rely on. If it wasn’t for the code quality and John’s support, I’d rate this less. If you buy this Theme, make sure you budget in additional plugins and hiring a developer.

Update: It’s now February and nothing of the above has been fixed after more than 3 months.
