A Great Choice for Sports and Clubs
WordPress football, soccer, basketball, and baseball teams will find a lot to like in the Splash theme. This template is useful for helping you attract a lot of followers irrespective of whether you operate a professional league, amateur team, or club.
User-Friendliness and Capabilities of the System
There is one distinguishing aspect of the Splash template that stands out – it has a full-color presentation of the module for managing teams and players. You can make elaborate profiles for your players, complete with their pictures as well as a description of the position each player occupies. Moreover, you can make databases of matches that are coming up as well as those which are already played, and also provide a complete history of the league through statistics and pages of various teams. Thus, fans will always be in the know about everything.
Adding Multimedia Material to Your Website
In addition to the features mentioned above, the template supports embedding not only text, but also video and audio, which come in handy when you wish to capture some memorable moments of your team in videos. In case you use audio feedback, you can also post interviews, commentaries, and news updates to provide comprehensive coverage of information.
Support for Key Plugins
Also, the template is very well designed for integration with SportsPress – a leading sports club management plugin for WordPress. With SportsPress, you can manage fixtures, results, league tables, and player rankings with great ease. The only similarity between Splash and SportsPress is that it works well with WooCommerce; therefore, creating an e-store to sell your team’s merchandise will not be difficult. Besides, it works well with MailChimp and Contact Form 7, allowing you to manage email marketing and contact forms.
Customization and Responsiveness of Splash
Since the theme has been developed using WPBakery Page Builder, the user will be able to make changes in both the backend and frontend. As a result, we get an extremely flexible and user-friendly theme. The responsive layout ensures correct display of the website no matter the screen used for browsing. You will be able to refine the website more with the help of WordPress Customizer. This tool helps you to adjust the website according to your landscape or your organization’s identity.
More to Offer
In addition to the standard elements, the theme comes with a set of additional features, namely: a countdown clock with animation, a fundraising module, an Instagram widget, a breaking news ticker, and 25+ unique shortcodes. Splash is also translation ready, SEO optimized, and comes well documented with many tutorial videos available. You will enjoy the regular updates and professional support at all times.
Conclusion
In case your goal is to create a user-friendly multimedia website that is easy to maintain and organize and related to sports, Splash should be your choice. With a variety of functions, customization possibilities and easy integration of needed plugins, this is an excellent option for a sports league or a club.
I’m reviewing this theme for several reasons. The level of support is excellent, and my two minor issues were resolved in the initial reply. The installation was quick and painless if you follow the step-by-step process they provide. Everything you need to customize the theme is in the documentation and the integration with SportPress is superb. If you need a sports theme, don’t hesitate to purchase – excellent service all round.
Fantastic customer support and easy communication. Very eager to help me get the website working as desired.
Good template. Slow performance due to many customizations that are not natural for the WP structure. Works fine with minor bugs.
I purchased this theme and immediately ran into major problems trying to run it with Sportspress. On the player page, I tried using the Player Media Gallery to add images. It wouldn’t work. I opened a support ticket and they said: “We’ve detected some conflicts with the player Media Gallery option. We have transferred the case to our developer to fix it. The issue will be fixed in the theme’s upcoming update.” The latest update recently came out and the issue still isn’t fixed. Then, with the sponsors plugin from Sportspress, when you click on a sponsor, it goes to a page that is blank – it doesn’t display the content. I was told, “We determined some conflicts in the theme. I’ve reported this issue to our dev team, and the needed fix will be included in the upcoming theme update. Unfortunately, we cannot provide an exact date of release, please kindly wait.” Since these are two major issues, I asked if my support period could be extended to determine if the theme would work for my non-profit organization and was told no. Essentially, I wasted the money on this theme and have to begin looking for a new theme that actually works with major components of Sportspress. The support was fairly timely, with first responses coming in 3-6 days. However, I have no faith that what needs to be fixed will be fixed after my first report about the Player Media Galleries. I’d steer clear as this theme has a lot of major bugs.
Support could be a bit quicker. Support helped with a minor issue but overall really happy so far.
Another update comes and goes this week and they still haven’t fixed product price options in Woocommerce despite the fact I flagged it with them 6 MONTHS AGO. Avoid this theme if you want Woocommerce integration as it simply doesn’t work and they should remove any reference to it being compatible with Woocommerce.
The theme is brilliant and has outstanding design tools and effects. Also, the tools are so many and you have many choices for the design.
Customer support is always the deciding factor for me when considering to purchase a theme or plugin. I’m really pleased with the support. They are quick to respond and very helpful. Thanks!
An excellent template with a range of customization options. What sets this offering apart is the excellent support. On the occasions I have needed a helping hand, the developers have responded very quickly and the issue was resolved speedily.
Highly recommended.
The theme is amazing and has some work to customize due to the many features it includes. After designing a site with this theme, I find it has good design ideas, especially if you follow the demo designs. However, layout options are lacking for more customization compared to other premium themes. For example, you cannot change the color, size, or placement of the icon in Page Builder, and icon lists do not show the actual icon. There are also built-in margin/padding settings that can interrupt div placements. It is sometimes hard to make changes on the theme or theme demos. This theme is great if you want to copy the demo site layouts, but it has a long way to go in customization. Hopefully, we see these additions in future updates.
Very disappointed with the theme and the support as well. Not only diverse bugs, but in the end it even seems not possible to use this theme because of problems when trying to migrate the finished website from the preview to the final domain, although both are on the same server. We bought and also extended the support with StyleMixThemes, but the support delivers no support that deserves this name. The last answer I got yesterday was a 100% copy-paste answer which I already got from StyleMixThemes support 4 weeks before.
Little to no customization available. The demos look nice, but I was hoping for more flexibility with what I could do with different elements. Disappointing for how expensive the theme is.
This is a mess. Read the reviews, NOT the ratings. There is no way those are people who are really using this template. Support takes 7 days or more to reply and they just blame Sportspress or you. This is a garbage theme with little customization outside of Sportspress. You can’t change colors, text, elements, etc. WPBakery support even craps on this template saying they get complaints about it as well.
Great support, they were very quick to respond and were very helpful to me.
The theme is stunning, and the support is super quick! Like, a few minutes. Astounding! I’m new to the included builder WP Bakery but the support team are quick to answer any questions I have. Amazing Customer Support. I am currently building my website and so far, the team has been very helpful at helping out with a few issues I had. This template and plugins included make this absolutely the best. I’ve used a lot of themes, templates, and plugins but THIS was not only the perfect layout to help my basketball team LOOK like we’re NBA level but the StyleMix support staff was great. I had an issue when I made some adjustments I just couldn’t fix myself and they made it a priority to help get my site back on track before the season started. Would love to use more of their themes for my next projects.
