Conclusion
The Hanger is a comprehensive, multi-functional, and multi-demographic WooCommerce theme made for simple and professional e-sellers. It has an interesting interface with easy-to-use functionalities along with great possibilities for customization and excellent security that allows creating a successful online store. It may be for physical goods, digital files, or even affiliate products.
Got the Hanger version 2.3. However WPBakery is still running version 6.11.00 and cannot be updated without purchasing a license. I tried turning it off from the plugin page, which broke my page formatting. I was not allowed to switch it back on, as it said I needed the latest version, so I needed to reinstall a backup to get my formatting back.
I’ve been using this theme for over 3 years and during that time I kept getting negative customer feedback about an internal server error. I tried everything to solve this problem, and for 3 years each time it happened I had to go to the “permalinks” tab of WordPress and click on the validate button so that the error no longer appears. I decided to change the theme and realized that it was the Hanger that was causing this error. It made me lose too many sales, too many customers. Do not recommend this theme.
I paid $61 with the promise of HTML, CSS, and JS files but the theme does not include the said files. Support is also not available on this item, you have to pay some more. Stay away.
I’ve been looking for a high-fashion theme for my e-commerce site and I came across this one. It’s the perfect theme for my site and the customer service is phenomenal! The team at The Hanger Theme helped me set up everything and made sure that everything was perfect and bug free.
The theme is one of the best I’ve ever tried. Functional, suitable for high fashion e-commerce. The support was professional and fast. I think I have found the right one.
I’m new at building websites, started with my own, and Getbowtied team, especially David (who has supported me), are monsters! Due to the time zone, we have a 1-day difference between responses, but they have been very helpful. I think it was my best choice when buying my first theme, surely I’ll keep working with Getbowtied. Thanks a lot, guys, keep up the good work.
Hey David,
Thanks for the excellent support. We love using the theme. It’s regularly updated and if there were problems, you guys were there to help out. Service as it should be 😉
Bugs and theme not working as advertised. Difficult to customize simple elements. Customer support not available to make fixes. Would avoid. My clients are irritated with the timing so I figured I’d warn people ahead of time.
I contacted on Facebook to say that during this time I have acquired 2 getbowtied woocommerce themes (this one and The Retailer). The speed of both in Google Speed is terrible. But the answer was: our themes weigh more because they have premium features. I already know that … What I am saying is that if I pay, it is to have everything. Not a slow paid woocommerce theme. I want to publish in this review my answer for the lack of a more professional answer, or at least, show interest in improving the speed of their templates.
Recently I had a problem with my website. David at Get Bowtied solved the problem! He discovered that the WooCommerce plugin was outdated. Many thanks David!
Great theme, very clean and elegant. And super customer support: David was able to solve my problem right away! Absolutely recommended!
An awesome plug-in! Thanks to the developers for doing such a great job!
I am using more than one theme by getbowtied and they are great! Always on the spot, quick answers and solutions! I clearly recommend this theme because of the design. It is clean and simple.
I had a problem with category pictures not showing in the mega button but a very friendly person from customer support solved that problem for me. I really appreciate the help! I recommend this theme.
Great theme. The initial experience with customer support was not good but things got sorted out eventually. I’m happy again.
It’s said that the theme is WPML compatible, however when it comes to mega button and mega menu – they don’t work. Contacted customer support two times – no help at all. Now I realize my customer support has expired but I don’t have mega button and mega menu fixed which is a real problem for me. Totally disappointed.
As a long-time user of The Retailer, I really wanted to love this theme. The Blog and Product Layouts, and MegaMenu are great, but releasing The Hanger may have been before its time. Hopefully updates will come to integrate much of The Retailer features, but improving performance should be the highest priority. Keep up the great work, thanks! I am continuing to use The Retailer until The Hanger is properly updated for performance.
Love the design and features of this theme but the performance is really bad as far as page load times. Disabled all non-bundled plugins and running on a modern dedicated server, disappointing with the performance means we cannot use at the moment, hopefully this will improve with updates.
Super smooth features, exceptional shop design with really cool responsive zoom on mobile – and the most awesome team.
This theme is perfect for beginner (which I am) and seasoned pros (my son-in-law). We’re both impressed with the capabilities but I really appreciate the responsive and competent customer support.
I like the clean theme, the mega menu, and the centralized product search, but unfortunately, it feels like a theme that’s half complete. The mega menu won’t cascade to see all of your categories (it only looks at top-level ones), which makes it useless in my implementation. Also, the filter in categories when viewed on mobile could’ve been more effectively done. For this reason, I’m a little disappointed with this theme.
Customer support among many other things is what makes this a gold purchase worth more than its sold for. The hosting I used had outdated PHP which crashed WordPress, and the seller saved my site by staying online to bring it back, then updating everything and uploading this beautiful theme! They did much more than they should have, and for that, I am very grateful.
This is a buy for every collection for every possible reason!
10 / 10 STARS
Getbowtied promises that the theme is 100% WPML compatible; however, the Mega Button and the generated menu aren’t WPML compatible. When presented with this bug, they promised to fix it within the week, which was within my timeline for product delivery. They aren’t responding to any additional contact, so I can say the support is lackluster. It’s been two weeks since their own deadline, and a week after I was supposed to deliver the product. I was forced to seek a secondary solution for this bug and had additional costs, so I would recommend you stay away from this theme unless you don’t mind not being able to use it as advertised.
This theme is good for beginners, but when it comes to making changes, you need to face that you have no ability to change default settings. For example, you have a mega menu, but only for WooCommerce categories links—you can’t insert any other links. You can add SALE and NEW links in the mega menu, but you can’t specify a custom URL for those links. This theme is good if you don’t have any knowledge (or don’t care) about SEO or UX and you just want to easily create a shop. By the way, I created a ticket in support more than 48 hours ago and I’m still waiting. My disappointment brought me here.
Excellent design, great speed, and wonderful customer service by the awesome GetBowtied team, who are without any doubt among the best theme development teams out there!
