Hotel Master is a WordPress theme that was developed specifically for hotel, hostel, resort, apartment and bed & breakfast room reservation. It features a user-friendly room booking system with easy to navigate availability calendar and quick changeable options thanks to the seamless AJAX that eliminates entire page refreshing.
Booking System and Ease of Use
The one thing that separates Hotel Master from other themes is not only its solid booking system. As a guest searches for rooms or is in the process of making reservations, he will have an option to readjust his preferences or get another room without having difficulties. This makes booking experience quite smooth.

The previous version 2.00 of Hotel Master had some significance changes one of which is the full support of hostel features. First I’ll say the upside. Tech support does it pretty quickly. I have no claims for support.
And now the worst… mistakes and code quality. All these errors have already been and were solved, but they appeared again after 2-3 months. I still have a problem that the synchronization with Booking.com is disappearing. Because of this it’s quite difficult to track room reserves and have to block manually. The calendar has stopped showing dates that are already fully booked. I will have to buy a tech support license again just because the developers couldn’t solve the problem on a permanent basis.
The site is very nice, it’s not too difficult to customize, but the support is lacking commitment, it is slow, and it is very difficult to get hold of someone to help with problems that have to be fixed as fast as possible.
The template is great and one of the main reasons for my 5-star rating is the customer support. They reply fast and always with a perfect and reliable answer. Even though it has its limitations in terms of customization, for a general accommodation place, it works perfectly fine. It differentiates between Hotel and Hostel features, depending on the type of room/dorm you want to set. But you can combine both modules with small customizations. Again, the customer support was very helpful in that sense. The only thing I’d suggest Goodlayers improve is the room/dorm booking management system. The backoffice management is pretty difficult, given you can’t make manual bookings or block beds/rooms from the administration panel. To block beds/rooms for a given date, the booking manager has to make a new booking using the user interface, which is a little bit annoying. The synchronization with iCal only works for rooms. Anyway, I give 5 stars because for the price you pay, you can’t expect to have a booking system as good as other products that are specialized in that business.
Many bugs, unable to use it on my website, do not waste your money on this theme.
Although we really like the design of the Hotel Master theme, there are some issues that make this theme almost useless for a multilingual website that needs to be synced with different portals like booking.com. When we evaluated themes for the launch of our website, we focused on two main features: the theme must support WPML for managing a multilingual website, and the theme bookings must be synced with different portals via ical format.
The theme itself has a booking feature that should block dates when a booking has been made. Obviously, the custom fields for bookings and for importing ical from other portals are translatable, which leads to problems. When discussing the syncing issue with the support, we were told that we have to fill in the ical links in every language used on the website. From our point of view, this doesn’t make much sense as a room is booked or free regardless of the language. The theme seems to treat the three languages as different rooms with their own IDs.
Another behavior that makes it impossible for us to use the theme is that the bookings made in different languages are not synced internally. It seems to work for bookings made in the default language but not if a room has been booked in another language. We made a test booking on the German website, and on the English website, this room was still available. Also, when looking at the ical that we exported for syncing with the portals, the booking didn’t appear in the ical file of the default language. This behavior can permanently lead to overbookings and penalization for canceling a booking made on portals.
We have been in contact with the support but our problems were not recognized. Our last email has not been answered for more than six weeks. We strongly warn everyone who is looking for a theme for a multilingual booking website that can be synced with portals like booking.com to purchase this theme.
Customer support on this theme has been great!! It’s already well documented and well coded, just had to switch a couple of things and received assistance right away from the team!!

The customization of the theme is very limited. The menu is overly complicated and the description of the items, which can be customized, is very poor. The booking system is poorly implemented. You cannot see a calendar overview and getting to the booking management is quite complicated for the hotel manager. The customer support is inadequate. The first message was answered within 48 hours, but we’re still waiting for an answer to our follow-up questions from over two weeks ago. We ended up using Elementor for almost everything rather than the theme, as it allows you to customize almost anything and is very user friendly. Our recommendation would therefore be to just purchase a booking management plugin and use free tools for the rest, as you’ll get a better design and usability. Incorrect installation may cause a fatal error which prevents access to wp-admin. This theme has no add booking in the backend and it is not possible to edit existing reservations.
Purchased this template in 2018 to startup my hotel website. It has been great over the last few years. The YouTube tutorial was beginner-friendly and customer support was 100% when I needed assistance integrating a separate booking engine.
Besides design quality and features and the looks of the landing page, I got great support from the ticket submitted, especially from Sandeep who showed me with screenshots how to update or modify several sections I didn’t know how to. Thank you.
The best template complete with every setting for managing rooms and apartments. I made the mistake of choosing another template because I thought it was better than Goodlayers but I wasted my money! Recommended. I forgot, TOP assistance even if my license was expired. Thanks.
