We recently purchased the Basel theme and updated our entire website to this new theme. However, we realized that we couldn’t access our apps on Shopify and reached out to the support promised with this theme. After five days of reaching out, they finally responded, only to inform us that the Basel theme is not compatible with Shopify 2.0! This is confusing since all the supporting documents on their site claim it is Shopify 2.0 ready. We were also advised, “you can not enable embedding app in the theme. You need to ask app support if their app supports Shopify 1.0 or not. You might need to add some embed code in the theme. Please contact app support for assistance.” Where is the support in this? We still haven’t received a follow-up. Why would we update our entire site to a theme that doesn’t support our apps, only to be told to seek support elsewhere? We want to move forward, not backward.
I have reached out and no one has responded in a week. Can’t install the demo and I need help and guide. I have watched the videos but Online 2.0 looks different. If y’all can’t help, I need a refund.

I bought it 5 days ago and unfortunately it does not work for me. Creating a ticket for support gives me an error out. Support response by email comes after 24 hours. If you resort to a template, then you have a situation where it must go quickly. Unfortunately in this case it is not fast enough for us.
Very prompt and courteous service, Mie Tran solved my problem because Basel theme is not suitable for Shopify 2.0 version.
Edited rating: Earlier I had given 1 star owing to reduced options for different sections than the lower version. But customer support promptly and quickly resolved my issues. Kudos to support for resolving all my issues in a short span of time.
Support responded to our problem within one hour! Theme is fantastic. Customer service is the best. They are very prompt in replying to enquiries with clear instructions. Very useful and powerful Shopify theme! They solved all of my problems. Theme was a bit confusing to get used to at first but eventually with the use of their WIKI page and the exceptional support from the support team, I rate this theme 5 stars. So far they’ve been top notch!
I purchased Basel theme after searching through many themes out there on the internet and I am very happy with my decision. The theme offers great looks and functionality out of the box and it was fairly easy to customize most part of the elements. The customer service answered any questions I had in a timely manner and helped me with coding CSS to get the result I wanted. Since I am new to Shopify itself, I was worried to purchase a theme from a third-party, but it works without issue and offers much more functions as an e-commerce theme. I have been using this theme for about 2 years now and it is probably the best Shopify theme available. With plenty of features, great design, and very robust. The customer service team has helped with any tweaks I have needed and made the whole process very easy. I’m used to designing in Word Press Elementor; this is not as smooth to me because you control most of the entire site from a side window as opposed to only controlling elements on the present page by clicking on them. The side menu options are a little overwhelming because of this. However, Basel is super customizable, comes with many preloaded features that are great for ecommerce, and has great customer service that will give you step-by-step instructions with images or just fix it for you. The drawback for me is we’re in very different time zones. Hint: Design in Basel at 90% zoom in Chrome. This enables you to have 2 side windows rather than 1 overcrowded one.

Since five days trying to connect with the developer for support, sending plenty of emails with no answer. Waste of money; it was a terrible experience. I have my web developer trying to reach the product developer and still no response. Shame, unfortunately.

Customer support for Basel is great! Over the past 2 years since we started using Basel, their team has always been able to resolve any problem that we have had on our site. Just this past weekend I had a coding issue with a custom page, and Kate resolved the problem first thing on Monday morning in just about an hour. Excellent support to address any particularities you might run into when customizing the Basel theme!

The theme has a lot of options which is wonderful but it may take some time to learn where all the settings are and how to use them. The support team quickly helped me find a feature I had spent hours looking for. They answered my support ticket quickly and answered all of my questions until it was resolved. I have purchased numerous Shopify themes; so far, this is my favorite. Each demo has an attractive layout and once you get a feel for the customization options, it is very nice to work with.
