The theme has too many bugs and crashes on small tasks. Your plug-ins are crashing my website but I have to buy support to solve your bugs. I couldn’t even upload this theme, getting an error message! Plus you have to have a “ticket” to see their tutorials! They told me afterwards that it was a “mistake” and that they have corrected it. Most of the plugins needed don’t exist anymore and the ones that you can get are super expensive. Poor customer support with rude and unprofessional people not willing to even hear the issues. Plugin key did not work and when reaching out they were rude and pretended to not understand me. I regret buying this theme.
Awesome product. I wasn’t planning to rebuild my site but this theme is just too awesome so I put in the work.
Slow loading, outdated code, this theme shouldn’t be for sale on ThemeForest, it brings down respect I have for the ThemeForest venue.
The theme Videopro is not user-friendly, and most of the associated plugins you will need to use with the theme are outdated and some have been removed from the WP plugin marketplace. The support is the worst! Very arrogant and will find any reason not to refund unhappy customers. Save yourself from a headache, never purchase anything from Cactus Themes.
This product is deceiving. It doesn’t tell you that you have to additionally purchase the PBakery Page Builder license to have all the features it claims to provide. I want my money back.
I am very disappointed with the purchase of the VideoPro WP theme and will be contacting the author to ask for a refund. Here is why:
1) A classic case of bait and switch: Before purchasing the VideoPro theme, I went over and browsed the majority of the published documents. Few of those docs are presenting plugins that are not included with the theme and you need to purchase them separately. It turned out that the whole thing was false.
2) Bad Performance: The codes must be very old and not updated since the theme is extremely slow to load on any click.
3) Technical Support: Very slow and generic support system. I actually haven’t been able to resolve anything with them yet.
Very disappointing.
Currently in the process of re-deploying from scratch. There were a couple bugs along the way, it wasn’t perfect, but it looks amazing for end users. I’m really pleased, one of the best experiences I’ve had using other people’s software. And it has way more functionality than most other comparable projects.
Old, outdated coding. Irresponsible vendor. After more than 1 year, there are still aspects of his coding that he has not fixed. Super heavy theme. Needs multiple plugins to work. Not compatible with Buddypress like he says because you need another plugin to create a separate profile to allow users to create their own video channels. Multiple people complaining and vendor does nothing. Still has a membership plugin in videopro that has been deprecated like a year ago. Vendor’s latest update changed design aspects of my site and broke others. Buyer beware. Vendors who disrespect his buyers this way should be banned from Envato. Don’t waste your money.
Very slow and heavy, you must check your theme, must be simple to use.
Had to buy this twice to get the download. Still haven’t received my refund for the first purchase. Tons of runaround. They get my money twice but never again after this.
I do not give a low star rating lightly. The only reason I am on this theme is to help others from investing in something that is having a lot of trouble. You have to use the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin for the theme to work now because of a WordPress update that happened months ago. Even with that plugin, there are still errors and it is a mess. I contacted support, and nothing has happened due to old and deprecated code being used that is no longer supported by WordPress. For a WordPress theme, all of its code should be compatible with the current version of WordPress.
One of the theme’s plugins has a security vulnerability which is causing the website to get hacked. It is a well-known issue and flagged by all security plugins. It has been weeks, I have addressed the theme developer, and still no update is available for the safe and fixed version. The theme developer is allowing a plugin in their theme that is the biggest security vulnerability out now for weeks and will not address this. This is completely unacceptable. If the theme developer cannot keep their theme updated so it is safe and the code stays compatible with WordPress, they should stop selling.
I do not like writing negative reviews, but I also don’t want to see others get into trouble buying this theme. It is a shame because it could be a great theme if only the developer was on top of it; it would be amazing.
George from Customer Support is being very helpful, so I upgraded this Theme from one to four stars in anticipation of a good solution. I still think the theme and data upload are ‘buggy’. I hope it gets improved through updates.
Just purchased and downloaded this theme. “Import” or “install” sample data is not working. Try Brizy Spam message keeps on showing up when activating the “VideoPro – Unyson Sample Data” Plugin. Activate WPBakery button is not working and the plugin keeps saying there is an update. The theme is not as it is stated and it’s not working as it should. Hope to receive a full refund within 5 working days. Hope that Themeforest takes measures against sellers like these. I joined Themeforest years ago to avoid these issues but this makes me think differently now.
I just bought the VideoPro theme and had no problems installing but there are bugs in this theme that I can’t seem to get support to help with. One problem is the posts. They don’t post correctly and some content doesn’t even show up. For instance, I want to post a SoundCloud audio into a post and there are no instructions anywhere on how to do this. If I can’t get the help I need, I would like a refund. Themes are full of bugs with insufficient instructions. I bought the DIVI theme with Elegant Themes and much more happy with them. Would like some help, please. I have submitted several support tickets which were so complicated to even get established. Please refund if you can’t help.
I bought this brilliant theme and had trouble getting to install it properly as my cPanel wasn’t setup right and George from support went above and beyond to make sure that the theme got installed properly 100% and it was done fast as well. I bought the Video Pro WordPress theme. This theme is the best video theme I have ever seen. The support team is excellent, and this theme sets anyone to achieve great things online using videos. High optional theme with low UI/UX. Great, helpful, and fast customer support. Wishing to fix all UI/UX problems in Desktop & Mobile in coming updates.
Do not buy if you want to avoid a headache and gray hair. I have had three different developers install this theme besides me, and still problems. If you pay the author they will install no problems, but no one else. The whole theme is unusable. WPBakery Page Builder is not usable and the theme crashes without this plugin. Membership Plugin doesn’t work. They asked me to use other paid plugins, even those other plugins are not working properly with the theme. Sample data download takes so long it’s unbearable. There are so many bugs that you get stuck every now and then. The site becomes very slow. Even though the design is very good, it’s inconsistently responsive, and quite often elements break the design. Avoid buying this theme until it becomes better and comes with all the claimed functionality. Avoid. They will take your money, do not engage and refuse all legitimate requests for refunds. Another theme that I can’t get support for and I just paid, downloaded it about an hour ago. Link Expired! Now let’s see if I can get my money back and find another theme that I can use.
