Thoughts on “Qurno Theme Review”

  1. Very flexible theme with nice and clean design, well optimized for various devices. Super easy to customize. I am a frontend developer who knows JS, TS, React, and NextJS very well, can do design and CSS stuff myself as well but I prefer not spending time on that, hence I bought this template. I started my own NextJS project with Tina Markdown CMS and used this template only for design components.

    Pros:
    – Easy and quick to customize without even opening the documentation
    – Good file structure and demo page
    – Prepared for customization, very flexible
    – Well optimized for various devices and browsers

    Cons:
    – Hasn’t been migrated to app router yet
    – No server-side rendering for fonts
    – Based on Bootstrap which requires client-side loading of its JS scripts
    – No TypeScript & zero tests
    – Some legacy code, especially in utils functions
    – No localization support

Please note that I resolved all the cons myself, so I don’t need any support with that. The one star down is for the extra work I needed to put in. Not a problem for me at all but wanted to mention it in case somebody cares, or as ideas for improvement. Good job, thanks for a nice theme!

Overall, the theme is very flexible and easy to customize, with a clean design and good optimization for various devices. However, there are some limitations, such as the lack of server-side rendering for fonts and reliance on Bootstrap, which requires client-side loading of its JS scripts. Despite these drawbacks, it’s a solid choice for those with NextJS experience.
