This theme matched my needs the closest, and it looks great. For the parts that needed a bit of tweaking, Alex at Pixelgrade was super helpful, going over and above to give me advice and guidance. Thanks guys!

Despite missing some crucial features, Listable is a solid directory theme with an active support team. I have been using this theme for over 5 years now, and I have a flourishing business thanks to it. Even though updates may not bring their dose of ground-breaking features, the theme is compatible with the latest versions of WP and most plugins. Also, basic updates have kept the theme bug-free and compatible with WP. Therefore today I’m increasing my rating to 4/5 stars. I’ll give the missing star when the theme features all pins on the map independently from having to load all listings on the page 🙂 If you’re looking for a solid theme without the useless fancy stuff that other directories offer, you’ll be just as happy as I am with this theme.

After a month of trying to get the emails I have sent to you answered, I have decided to leave my review of the support received. I bought the theme for a client, and suddenly the maps stopped working, they are no longer shown in the widgets. I contact the developer and he doesn’t answer me. I’ve been waiting for over a month and nothing. Very disappointed with the support I received.

Tons of bugs. They never fully converted it from a job management script, so there are tons of places to fix where the word “JOB” is instead of the restaurant or whatever. It’s a trainwreck inside, and unless you plan on rewriting language files, you’ll need to hire someone. The payments get errors if you set it as a JOB MANAGEMENT SUBSCRIPTION; it has a million fatal errors. If you set it for a SIMPLE SUBSCRIPTION, it works on the front end but doesn’t show up as a product if you go through the guest checkout.

They will make you pay for everything in this theme. The front of the theme looks nice; I bought it for the looks. However, the customization at the back is poor. Little options. Changing the listings is either limited or you have to do it all with code. Contacted customer service a few times, and all I get are standard answers that refer me to (third party) documentation. Personally, I regret spending the 85 dollars on it.

Nice idea with all the listings, but creating a new list entry will not save the location correctly. The current version of this theme cannot be downloaded (you can only download 1.15.5 but not 1.15.6). This looks like bad code quality or unresolved bugs. I’ve been using this theme for several years, but now I am forced to switch to another theme with listing possibilities.

The theme won’t work unless I purchase support to get updates. You need to pay for the theme and keep paying a support license each year, even if you only require the update and no support. This has caused a trust issue for me with Pixelgrade, and I’m moving away to another theme out of principle. It’s a shame as I really liked the Listable theme, but trust is everything and you’ve lost mine.

If your support expires, you have to purchase another license to use this theme.

Clean & effective, I needed to make local marketplaces for my website design, and this works awesome!

We’ve been using Listable for a couple of years and are very happy with it. We don’t have any background in websites/coding/programming/etc and this is the first time any of us have used WP. We’ve done quite a bit of customisation to get everything how we want it and have over 30 plugins, and it generally all holds together without any issues. When things do go wrong and Google doesn’t provide an easy answer we have to ask for help, and at those times the people behind Listable have always been easy to deal with. Definitely happy to continue using the theme and to recommend to others.

Pixelgrade have been extremely personable and helpful with my queries, plus their theme is very well made and extendable. I was particularly impressed with the colour schemer and overall admin quality, including well-labelled sections and good layout.

This theme looks nice, and most of the features work fine, but there are two things that made me give 2 stars for this theme: 1- Customer service is not good. I have requested help, and it wasn’t solved, but left unanswered. Then I emailed again, and it left unanswered again. 2- There is a map feature missing in the theme. When you add a listing with the city and country location, the theme can’t understand it, so it is not working. Support guy told me that I need a new google API key, because he used his own key and sent me a sample working listing, so I created a new key. But it is still not working. It wasn’t a key-based problem, and he didn’t solve the problem. He just made custom fields edit, which means adding everything manually, like attitude, longitude, postcode, everything.

Probably one of the most hyped themes that doesn’t deliver. It costs more than any other theme in Themeforest, which is fine if you didn’t have to spend a further $300 on other plugins and add-ons. If you want them to look like the demo, then prepare for your wallet to have a bashing. Totally unacceptable when charging $85 for the theme. I have sent numerous support questions, and none of them have been resolved. One request was answered with “well, you have to buy yet another plugin for that functionality to work” – WOW. They never help with any coding requests but instead push you to another company to pay for their coding services when these guys are the ones who created the theme.

To be honest, the theme looks great when finally purchasing all the extra plugins to get it functioning like their demo, but it uses too many resources and constantly crashes our server. I’ve renewed support at least 3-4 times since purchasing, and when one issue gets fixed or worked around, another comes up. I don’t believe this theme was created in mind to handle hundreds of listings. If I go to the listings backend, I have to change the settings to only show 5 listings per page. If that’s changed to, let’s say, view 50 listings per page, it will take forever to load those listings. So just imagine going through hundreds or thousands of listings trying to bulk (approve listings, expire listings, move to trash, etc.).

You have to buy a support license before you can use the tool!

This Theme is amazing for what it does, except that it disables the block editor (Gutenberg) for all content types globally, even the ones not related to Listable which handicaps the rest of my content. I understand that we don’t really need the block editor for the listings part of the site, but I have other CPTs besides my listings and I need the block editor for those but unfortunately that is not possible.

Too many simple functions need to pay more to use, would not recommend to buy. Listable demo showed many functions, but if you buy the package, those functions are not available at all.
