This is a very attractive and fairly easy-to-use theme, however, support is very slow. You will need to purchase Lava Code add-ons if you want your site to have similar functionality. It’s disappointing that there are more than 18 plugins required for an additional $200+ cost if you want all of the functions you see in the demos. It would have been nice for these functions to have been built into the theme or at least bundled and included with the theme purchase. Apart from the slow support and many required plugins, this is an excellent theme that looks really great!

The best support, they have answers on everything, and the theme is great for me. It has many functions and is best for a listing website. Best for my restaurant directory website. To sum up, this is cheap.

Nice and quick support, considering they’re located on the other side of the world. The theme has a lot of features and with a little bit of application, you can build a great website. I’m testing it on a subdomain and it seems to load fast despite the many plugins to make it work.

I am using Javo Directory for months, but never voted because the voting function has only 5 stars. The Javo Directory deserves 10 for both support and flexibility.

In addition, it is true what people say about resource-consuming theme and necessary add-ons. My host confirmed. They will always reply with: unfortunately, we don’t have this or that. They are not even thinking about improvements. For example, there are no social links in the blog section. Can you imagine? A blog without social media links? If I want that, I’ll have to implement it myself. They are crying about the amount of tickets they get but don’t make the effort to offer clear documentation with video. My site is finally online after 5 months but there’s still things that need to be solved, adjusted, or added. I’m holding my breath on how long it will stay stable. No good feeling about it at all. And oh yes, don’t even try the events section, it won’t work! It’s just in the demo for the show.

Really great theme! I’ve made extensive research and tried a few others but this one had all my needs. It’s really great for customizing every single detail on your pages with Elementor, while others force you to just change text, colours, and images.

This is my first time using Elementor. The customer service is good but slow. Forget getting an answer in 24/36 hours. It will take longer. Weekends don’t count. You need to be patient. The documentation is not great. Some things are not updated and you really need to dig into it to understand. The Javo theme is rather flexible but when you set up the demo theme be mindful that it will be incomplete. It doesn’t come with all the pics. For some, it might not be a problem but if you are expecting a full demo version once installed, forget it. It takes a while to figure it out. I had to hire external help 4 times to get some things fixed and many of them said that this is a difficult theme. I think if they had good and simple documentation it could help many of us that are starting out but for now, it’s not the case.

I use extensively Javo Directory for one of my websites since 2014. They keep improving and adding new features year after year. I like it because it’s now fully integrated with Elementor and Buddypress. You can customize anything without coding. And if you own Elementor Pro, with the theme builder feature, the possibilities are endless! I have just bought a second license for another project. I tried many other listing plugins/themes and this one is the best.

Very customizable theme, once you get the hang of it you can design almost anything. It also offers extra plugins that boost the general feeling like embedding virtual tour iframes. Of course the base theme offers what you want which is design flexibility via the free version of Elementor and custom reusable templates. Support is also active and friendly. I first tried to build a listings directory a few years ago with Listopia, and soon gave up! I revisited building a directory this year and came across Javo Directory. I am so happy because something so complex has been made rather straightforward, especially once you get your head around Elementor too. The customization element is incredible, and all the features you are able to achieve through (mostly the Lava) plugins are excellent! I feel like the area the theme could improve on is that of documentation and support. Sometimes, the documentation glances over the how-tos when it could go into greater detail, but even since I started using the theme the team have improved the documentation available and are updating it all the time. I do think that all users would benefit from a forum for the theme. Thanks for making such a great directory theme – I will be building more after this first go!

I am very disappointed with this theme. As a user without extensive coding knowledge but some experience managing a few WordPress sites, I’ve found this theme difficult to work with. I received replies that were badly worded and difficult to follow, and recent theme updates caused major issues that could not be addressed. After updating to v3, all my item listings disappeared despite following their migration instructions, and I cannot even send a ticket because my support service has expired.

The design quality is lacking, with features like free listings taking forever to get integrated. Customizability is also poor, with simple fields being complicated to customize. Additionally, the feature availability is disappointing, as additional subscription is required to use the full payment function. These issues have adversely affected the success of my directory site, and I regret purchasing this theme. I will likely replace my directory theme.
