This article is going to be detailed documentation guide for our theme “Glaze blog” & “Glaze blog lite”. Basically you need to understand two different terms “Glaze blog” & “Glaze blog lite”. Lite is free version of Glaze blog. Glaze blog is premium version.


Do kindly activate “perfectwpthemes toolkit” if you are using Glaze Blog Lite. If you have dismissed recommend plugins prompt message from your dashboard before installing “perfectwpthemes toolkit“, you can install this plugins manually too.


If you are already using another theme and switching to Glaze blog lite or Glaze blog then, we suggest you to install and activate Regenerate thumbnails plugin. Click here to download this plugin.
After activating it, go to Dashboard > Tools > Force Regenerate Thumbnails and click on Regenerate All Thumbnails.


Click on the screen shot if the text written at the screen shot is not readable. 


Installation of theme

There are two method to install Glaze blog theme. We recommend 1st one for all users.

Method one : Installation through WordPress dashboard itself. ( Recommended )

You can install theme from WordPress admin dashboard. This will be the first process of installing theme in your WordPress website.

For MAC users when you download a theme file make sure it do not unzip when you click the file. You are suppose to upload the .zip file itself.

Method two : Installation using FTP client ( Non recommended for newbie )

  • Login to you file manager with FTP client with your FTP user-name & password
  • Navigate to your WordPress installation
  • Navigate to wp-content folder and then to themes folder
  • Upload our theme folder with the FTP client to Themes folder inside wp-content folder
  • Log-in to WordPress dashboard & now activate the theme.

For Glaze blog lite users :

After activating the Glaze blog lite theme, you will see popup message for installing recommended plugin ( Perfectwpthemes Toolkit ).

Click on “Begin installing plugin” and install it.

For Glaze blog pro users :

After installing our pro version theme, install and activate all the required plugins.


Demo import

  • After installing, Welcome Message will be popup and click on Get Started or go to Dashboard >  Appearance > Glaze Blog Lite Info
  • Make sure, you have installed Demo Import ( recommended ) plugin. If not, then click on recommend actions and install it.
  • Click on Demo Content to view all the available demos. 
  • Click on Import Demo of which you would like to have demo.
  • Wait ( approx: 3 – 5 minutes ) to get all data to be imported as per your internet speed
  • When demo import is done, now its time to setup widgets, banner, menu and few other settings according to your requirements.

Navigation can be added from WordPress dashboard > Appearance > Menu.

Customizer options

Glaze blog is crafted with handy important customization options powered by WordPress live customizer. You can find all options under Dashboard > Appearance > Customizer.

#Homepage setting : 

You have to go to Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Homepage Settings or Dashboard > Settings > Reading. Make sure you check on “Your latest posts” which is set as default. But if it is not so, then check on it.

#Site Layout :

You can choose the layout of site from Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Site Layout. You can choose two different layout : Fullwidth Layout & Boxed Layout. See the screenshot below for references :

#Site Header :

You can set the site logo, title, tagline, favicon and top header social links from Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Site Header.

You can upload your custom site logo and favicon of site in Site Header > Site Logo & Site Favicon respectively.

You can show or hide social links on top header. Go to Site Header > Top Header and switch to green to enable it.

#Slider Banner :

You can enable or disable to display banner slider on homepage by switching to green on Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Site Carousel.

You can choose only one category to show the posts on banner with number of posts. You can also show or hide the content of posts (Category name, Post title, Date and Author of post) through switch option.

You can choose Carousel Layout and option for spacing and custom height. See the screenshots below for reference

#Blog Page :

You can display or hide blog post categories, date, author and number of comments on blog page (Homepage) which can be found on Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Blog Page. You can see the screenshot below for reference :

#Archive Page :

As on blog page which is described above, same options can be set up for archive page also. For this, you can go to Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Archive Page and see the screenshots below for reference :

#Search Page :

As on blog page which is described above, same options can be set up for search page also. For this, you can go to Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Search Page and see the screenshots below for reference :

#Single Post :

In single post, if you want to show post content, author section & related posts then you can set these options from customizer. Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Post Single. You can enable or disable post content, author sectionrelated posts, related post title, post number and author information. See the screenshot below :

#Breadcrumb :

You can enable or disable to display the breadcrumb. You can set the background image for it also. You can find this on Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Breadcrumb. See the screenshots below for reference :

#Site Image :

You can enable or disable Lazy Loading of image. If you want your site to load faster then we recommend you to enable it otherwise it is not compulsory.

#Site Sidebar :

You can choose the sidebar options on the blog page, archive page and search page either on right or left or disable it(fullwidth). You can also enable the sidebar to be sticky or not.

#Post Excerpt :

You can change the length of excerpt from Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Post Excerpt. If you have sidebar, then post excerpt length should be decreases up to which it makes design good and match the design. If no sidebar is chosen, then it should be increases up to which it match the design.

#Social Share :

As instruction above about perfectwpthemes toolkit, you have to install and activate this plugin in order to have social option. You can display or hide this option which can be found on Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Social Share. 

You can also enable or hide social share on pages like blog page, archive page, search page, single post and single page also.

Social sharing sites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest & other are available options and can be enable or disable to show. See the screenshots below for reference :

#Site Color :

As instruction above about perfectwpthemes toolkit, you have to install and activate this plugin in order to have color option. You can find this on Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Site Color.

#Site Background :

You can set either background color or image to the site. For this, you have to switch the site to Boxed Layout which is described on Site Layout section. You can find this option on Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Site Background.


Single post / page layout

There are two layouts for single post or page. You can find this on right below of the individual page or post. Layout one has sidebar either on right or left side whereas Layout two is fullwidth. Follow these below screenshots for references :

Widgets details

We have the custom widgets designed for Glaze Blog Lite. They are available at Dashboard> Appearance > Widgets. Details for those widgets are given below:

#Author Widget

This widget can be use in sidebar and footer. You have to create a page or edit existing page and select that page for showing the information. Then drag and drop author widget to Sidebar or Footer widget area. You can write your custom title and link title for it and choose the page you created for author. #Instagram Widget :

This widget can be used on sidebar, footer and Instagram widget area. You can use your custom title, image size, number of image, profile link title and link url for it. See the screenshots for below reference :

#Posts Widget :

There are two different layouts for listing posts on sidebar or footer area. You can set custom title, number of posts, display date and comments number also. See the screenshots below for reference :

#Social Widget :

You can edit copyright text of footer and enable scroll to top link in footer section. This can be found on Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Site Footer. You can find two scroll to top to display. See the screenshots below for reference :
