A theme which has been around for a long time, but works well and has a bunch of extras. Still getting updates too, which is great to see.

The theme advertises that it is simple, however, I have owned it for 5 years, and with every update, there are always compatibility issues that affect the website severely. If you are a beginner, it is highly unrecommended because these errors are not simple to understand or easy to navigate. It will cost you in technical labor to repair and tweak errors, bugs, and compatibility issues. With every WordPress update, it will destroy some part of your functionality until there is a later release. Currently, this theme is not compatible with the latest Woocommerce or WordPress in October 2023. It is a great and beautiful build and will solve your aesthetic issues, but under the hood, there are many issues. You may need to use a free WordPress theme and focus on blogging. WordPress is made to build and design beautiful sites, and this theme is no doubt very attractive. The issues plague me with headaches and today I have spent over 12 hours troubleshooting without extra support. You will need to consider this greatly.

For the 3rd time, 3 key plugins are disabled on their own in the theme, without any admin notification: BoomBox Theme Extensions, Zombify, and Easy Social Share Buttons for WordPress. It appears that the developer has access to the backend of every website. We understand that he needs to control licenses, but there are many ways to do this. Currently, it is also necessary to install Envato Market; without this plugin, the website will stop working unexpectedly and without notice after some time!

This had been a fine theme, up until a few days ago. As a result, I frankly don’t trust this developer anymore. Inexplicably, the Boombox theme was removed from ThemeForest a couple of days ago, and the developer’s code took that opportunity to disable 2 plugins and deactivate the theme on a live site I manage. For days, the homepage was a scramble of shortcode. No way will I trust PX-lab until they reassure that this will NEVER happen again. And give proof that it will NEVER happen again. Perhaps they’ve put these things in place to help prevent theft. But it’s your paying customers that have paid the price for your overzealous anti-theft practices. Badly done, PX-lab. Badly done.

This is a big scam also no updates. I wish I could return my money back.

I have been using this theme for some years. Years after I realized that they had already made many changes around the WordPress system and had already created a monster, I decided to use another theme. Still, what was my surprise, the content of the 500 articles that I had written during those years had been encrypted and stored in the database in a very dubious way in terms of programming and database design. I do not recommend this theme for the reasons I already mentioned. The theme creators advantageously decided that the content generated through their theme stays in their theme, and you can’t easily take it anywhere without continuing to rely on their Zombify plugin.

It would be better if you bring the “follow” feature instead of the “add friend”, like Instagram. It becomes a more effective site for those who use the theme, if the notification goes away when it create content for those who follow that person. Also, those who can’t read at the moment, save it so that they can read the content later when they are available. They can add it to their collections (I mean, members but non-authors) like the “save” feature on Instagram.
